Auction houses report a sharp sales rebound in the first half of 2026

Christie's reported $3.4bn in sales (+71% year-on-year), Sotheby's $2.3bn (+88%), and Phillips $507m (+60%). The growth is driven by trophy collections and blue-chip estates, while the market's middle segment is recovering more slowly.
