Umberto Boccioni
Umberto Boccioni (1882–1916) was the leading artist of Italian Futurism, obsessed with speed, motion and the dynamism of modern life. His sculpture Unique Forms of Continuity in Space is the movement's masterpiece.
Boccioni gave Futurism its visual language of energy and speed before dying in the First World War at 33.
