Gustave Caillebotte
Gustave Caillebotte (1848–1894) was an Impressionist with an unusually bold, almost photographic eye, famous for Paris Street; Rainy Day. A wealthy patron, he also bought and saved the works of his friends.
Caillebotte's bequest of his collection helped Impressionism enter the French national museums.
